Our Approach

We work to integrate disability management through research and rehabilitation
where the IDRR serves as a knowledge repository, capacity and human resource building centre, and pioneer in the sector.

Training Courses

Recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), IDRR offers all RCI-affiliated courses and also provides placements after the training.

We also design, develop, and implement educational and awareness programs for service providers working towards the care and rehabilitation of PWD's.

RCI Affiliated Courses

These RCI-affiliated courses develop human resources capable of serving in rural areas where 70% of PWDs are found.

  • Certificate Course in Rehabilitation Training (CCRT) – 12 months
  • Certified Course in Care Giving (CCCG) – 10 months

Non-RCI Affiliated Courses

These APD-affiliated disability management courses facilitate skill development for individuals prior to their eligibility for the RCI-affiliated courses.

  • Community Therapy Aid Course – 6 months

The ‘Prerana’ Model

Our Remote Rehabilitation through Technology (RRT) model, or ‘Prerana’ as we call it, is a virtual rehabilitation and education program to connect remotely at a district level, used largely for capacity-building and sensitisation programs.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

“This course is helping me learn about occupational therapy, physiotherapy, the rights of people with disabilities and more. I really love the environment at APD and it motivates me to develop my capacity to help people with disabilities. After my course ends, I want to work in this field and help children with disabilities live a better life.”
